Simplifying UX
One of the initial challenges was the tangled user journey. Customers were getting lost in a maze of product pages and complex catalogs, creating drop-offs before checkouts and missed sales. Following a series of creative team discussions, we built a series of tailored wireframes alongside a user journey strategy. These elements demonstrated how Klum House could harness the power of original, compelling content as customers toured the site -boosting brand awareness and retaining customers onsite.
Boosting Sales With New Tools
Focusing on driving store visits and increasing online sales, we integrated a custom product builder plug-in that enabled Klum to track product inventories as the customer-based grew (an essential tool for lean stocktaking). By interlinking products, we exceeded Shopify’s 100 variant limit, creating a super-smooth shopping experience for customers as they customized their product options. To reaffirm the products’ DIY nature, we used simple line-drawings of the six hero products, allowing users to visualize and imagine their bag creations.
Responsive Site Design
As over 70% of Klum House’s customers access the site from mobile and tablet devices, we created an optimized ‘mobile-first’ site. This design showcases a refined aesthetic with responsive tools scaled for desktop screens – reducing page loading times and improving the site’s SE ranking.
